Aya and Alia prepare for Ramadan – 7.5.19

Aya and Alia have had a fabulous time off as they have been preparing for the holy month of Ramdan which started on Monday! We read a few stories about the special month and so far they’ve helped put the decorations up and prepare our meals.. Aya even made her first batch of anise cookies! What makes this month extra special, is their desire to fast although they don’t have to as they are far too young to do so! Fasting is from sunrise till sunset, which means around 18 hours this year! Ramdan Mubarak everyone 🌛

Mrs Smith’s Bank Holiday Weekend in Rome – 6.5.19

Mrs Smith has had the most amazing time with her husband Jim this weekend in Rome.  We visited the Coliseum, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountains some magnificent churches and had lots of pizza and pasta.  It is such an amazing city full of history and culture!

Ozzie Owls 🦉 learn all about the environment- 29.4.19

In Ozzie Owls, we have been learning about ways to protect our planet, as well as the species that live on it. We have looked at how to recycle, why it is important to recycle, and the damages that occur through littering. The children have taken part in a litter pick this evening in our forestry, making sure our wildlife have a clean and tidy habitat.

Mrs Smith’s Easter Holidays – 22.4.19

Mrs Smith has had a fabulous Easter break.  It began with a week in Turkey at Lara Beach and then a week of time with family and friends.

Whole School Spring Term Prayer Space – 1.3.19

We had a fantastic morning today celebrating World Day of Prayer! Y3 and Y4 prepared eight stations based on the Lord’s Prayer for us to all engage with and contribute to. It was a time of prayer, reflection and fellowship (we mixed with different classes) that was enjoyed by all. Watch out for our summer term outdoor prayer space, which we will be inviting parents along to! Mr Richardson.

Mrs Smith’s half term holidays – 23.2.19

I started the holidays with a trip to Blackpool with Jim, Poppy, Toby, my mam and dad, brother and niece.  We really enjoyed Madame Tussaud’s and the Pleasure Beach.  There was a new ride called Ikon which I braved with my brother.  It was great fun.

We then went to Brandesburton which is near Bridlington in a wood lodge where Sophie and Abigail (my step-daughters) joined us.  We had a lovely chilled time.

I’ve loved seeing what all of you have been up to!  I can’t wait to see you all on Monday!
