Across Aspiration’s Day, Year 4 have enjoyed experiencing a number of different careers hands on. Picking up a range of key skills along the way, we have been inspired to think about our future, understanding what it takes if we are to achieve our goals. Dream big Year 4!

Year 4 have had a fantastic day the Shipley Art Gallery linked to Functional and Fancy Fabrics! We looked at lots of fabrics this morning, where they came from and how they are used. We then made our own fabric, which was super exciting
and designed our own piece of felt. We had to pull the wool apart to make it fluffy and then used water and soap to rub it, creating friction that then made the felt flat and fused the fibres together! We also had a little bit of time this afternoon to practice some sewing skills too
, wow what a busy day! The gallery staff were so impressed with our impeccable behaviour and super learning attitudes, well done year 4 you stars

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed ‘Toast Tuesday’ for their worship today! It was a lovely way to spend a bit of time chatting to our friends and keep our mental health in check, whilst enjoying some delicious toast

before then creating our own working circuits to make a torch!

Year 4 started their new topic in PE, Athletics! Miss Marley challenged us for our cool task, by giving us the equipment and seeing if we could set up different athletic events. Well done year 4! 🏃♂️🏃♀️➡️
Year 4 have loved Shakespeare day and were truly enthralled by the tale of Romeo and Juliet! We explored the play and acted out our own version and summary, to put our acting skills to the test!
We also explored the relationships within the story and the conflict between the Capulets and Montagues.
What a gorgeous day year 4 have had at WWT! We explored SO much of nature and linked so much of our learning across the day. We first of all, went on our own nature trail, before then completing some quests and tasks set by ‘Ava’ during the afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed soaking up nature…and the glorious sunshine!
