Year 5 had a fabulous morning for Sports Day! We competed in the sack race, egg and spoon, obstacle course and relay…well done Year 5!
Year 5 became art critics this afternoon! We set up a gallery of our latest art gold task, and thought about how we could evaluate each other’s work.
Year 5 investigated irreversible changes in science today. We looked at sour milk, boiled eggs, and mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, as well as comparing metal and rusted metal. We recorded our results, noting whether the change created a smell, sound, gas, sound or temperature change.
Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed cooling off from today’s heat with a hosepipe shower from Mr Richardson!!! 
As part of our worship around ‘Friendship and a Fellowship’, Year 5 have linked with Hebburn Manor Care Home, and had our first visit last week. We chatted to the residents, and even sang performed songs, which the residents absolutely loved! We can’t wait for our next visit.
What an afternoon Year 5 had for St Oz fest last week! Year 5 rocked the church with their performance of Don’t Stop Believing, well done you fabulous bunch!
Year 5 have fully embraced the footballing spirit! We loved our football session with Mr Richardson for our World Cup Day!
Year 5 had a fabulous time visiting Hebburn Comprehensive for a transition morning! We had a woodwork lesson with Mr Wilson who showed us how to make our very own key rings! We also sampled some music and science lessons too, displaying exemplary behaviour throughout. Well done Year 5!
What a brilliant day full of team spirit Year 5 had participating in the Quad Athletics event at Monkton Stadium last week. We participated in different athletic events across the day, including long jump and a 75m sprint, with some brilliant results!
Year 5 had a brilliant day last week for Aspirations Day, completing lots of different workshops centered around a variety of careers, including finance workshops, an outdoor session on green careers and a STEM activities workshop!
