In Year 5, for our Viking topic, we have been making our Viking longships. We have designed and made our ships with the purpose of them being able to float on water whilst also incorporating some Viking features.

This afternoon Year 2 were busy in the Nature Garden. We linked our outdoor learning to our topic Explorers. We applied our knowledge of maps skills and navigation to find different items Christopher Columbus had discovered and researched an interesting fact. In our second session we made an outfit for an explorer.

Gardens! We completed a range of activities such as an animal
scavenger hunt, shapes and patterns hunt, canopy walks and exploring
the rainforest, hunting for the dinosaurs and using our senses to
describe the rainforest environment. The children were amazing
throughout the day, we are very proud!

Year 4 had a special visitor this morning, CSO Neil Reid from Northumbria Police. He came to talk to us about Cyber Bulling and our Social Media awareness. It was a very informative and interesting session which the children all learnt a lot from. The children listened well and had lots of questions, which CSO Reid was more than happy to answer.
On Friday, year 1s forest school we have used our senses for a

applying our knowledge of our senses to find certain things!

It was all systems GO in our nature garden last night… Operation TIDY! Over the last few weeks our forest clubbers had noticed that our recent strong winds and work on our bird coops, meant that some areas in our garden needed a little TLC… We cannot wait to welcome you all back in soon to show you what we have been up to!
Year 5 loved their time going around the stations during prayer space day today. We have learned so much about ‘the stations of the cross’ and it’s all down to our Year 6s who have spent their time preparing the stations. Thank you so much Year 6!
