A HUGE well done to our fabulous drama club on their drama showing tonight for their family, parents & carers! The audience were captivated during a re-enactment of a scene from Macbeth! Well done to all children involved and to our lovely drama teacher, Kelly! 🤩🥳
Year 4 spent their morning looking at teeth as part of their current Science topic. We looked at the functions and structure of teeth, the benefits of good dental health, and even looked at the pros and cons of non fluoride and fluoride toothpaste.

KS2 had a real treat when X-Factor stars He Knows, She Knows but on a star studded performance that nearly took the roof off. After a high energy performance, Sharna and Silver shared stories of their own challenges alongside important messages about mental health and well-being. Afterwards, we all felt positive and energised….even the staff!
Y6 listened with care to two 90s classics today: “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child and “End of the Road” by Boyz II Men. They went on to discuss, describe and compare the tracks in detail using a range of musical vocabulary. Well done, Y6!
This week year 1 we’re lucky enough to take part in a reading
festival. The children met the author and illustrator of the story The
Odd Fish, they heard the story read aloud, discussed plastic pollution and the affects on the sea and fish. We then got to work with the illustrator who showed us how to draw cartoon sea creatures! What a fun way to learn about such important issues! 🐠🐟🐡🗑
What a messy and creative day year 1 have had! Today we have been learning all about colour theory. We have experimented with colour mixing, created a colour wheel and learnt the relationships between primary and secondary colours. We then finished the day looking at different pieces of art and discussing the colour choice, the shapes used and materials used to create it. Great job you bunch of artists👩🎨🎨🧑🎨🖌
Y6 went to South Shields Fire Station for RAP – Reducing Accidents at Play – to learn about how to stay safe in a variety of ways. We completed activities with the fire brigade, Nexus, the road safety team, the RNLI and the Northern Power Grid, all based around raising awareness of hazards and learning how to manage these, making us all ready for our next steps in life.
