Year 4 have fully embraced Show Racism the Red Card day! We have looked at inclusion and the importance of being part of a community. Our lovely Sebastian even brought us all stickers and posters in 
Yesterday Year 4 conducted the second part of their Science investigation. After leaving our eggs coated in fluoride over night, we then removed the toothpaste and submerged them in vinegar. We are now eagerly awaiting the results to see the difference between our fluoride vs our non fluoride eggs!
Our chicken & duck club may not have been able to get into the coop last night, but they made sure our birds were well fed! They loved making bird feeders and now these are set, they’ll be hung in our nature garden!
The rain did not stop us today. 💦🌧
Year one went on an exploration walk to spot and investigate shelters in the school grounds as part of their D&T work.
We have had a busy week in reception looking at our world and exploring where we live! We have looked at a globe and talked about a special trip or holiday we might have been on. We have then explored some maps of where we live and had a look at what we can spot! 
As part of Music, Year 4 have been looking at sustained listening. We looked at ‘Park Life’ by Blur, and ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis as part of the 90’s Indie music genre. We discussed the songs, thinking about dynamics and tempo, and looked at the lyrics of the song and what they mean. Wonderwall was a firm favourite with the Year 4 class!
Reception enjoyed their worship challenge this week about the Protected Characteristics. We had to talk about if we thought some toys were for a boy, a girl or if they were for both. We initially sorted these into boys and girls, but then after talking about it, we decided that actually all of the toys are for EVERYONE and it doesn’t matter if you’re a boy or girl!

This week in art year 1 have been experimenting with print making! Year 1 loved mixing colours and creating simple patterns. We have then completed our final pieces and my goodness the colour mixing is brilliant, we have made so much progress! Well done superstars

On Monday, our girls football team took part in their first training session. They worked on their dribbling skills and being confident on the ball – they were brilliant!
Year 4 have spent the morning conducting the first part of their Science topic experiment! We are looking to investigate how fluoride toothpastes reacts with egg shells, as egg shells have similar properties to teeth. We are eagerly waiting to start the next part of our investigation which involves submerging the eggs in vinegar…what this space for our results!
