Just before the rain came, Year 4 were continuing our athletics training. This week we were focussing on hand- eye co-ordination and upper body strength as we worked on our Shot Put technique.
After plotting the tale of the Stone Age Boy on a story map, we headed outdoors to our very own Stone Age camp…the nature garden! It was the perfect setting to recreate the adventure of a young boy who woke up in the Stone Age and met a girl called Om. Next week we will start to plan on our own versions of the story.
Year 2 Christmas Jumper Day for Hebburn Help
Reception had a very busy day yesterday being engineers! They had a STEM day where they had to make a mountain for The Jolly Postman. They had to use lots of skills to make their mountain, including planning, making, evaluating and using technology to take a picture of their finished product! There was some fantastic team work going on too. Wow, what a busy day, well done. ⭐️🏼
The bright sparks in Year 4 have been investigating electricity with Miss Topping. We used bulbs, wires and battery cells to create working networks, then tried variations on the set up to determine what an effective circuit needs.
