In Y6, we considered different types of hopes we can have and what happiness is and how it can be spread, before moving onto the Zones of Regulation. Understanding these zones, and specifically putting “tools” in place, can help us self-regulate our own emotions, helping us achieve our hopes and happiness. Now we have a shared language to use when discussing the range of emotions we all encounter on a daily basis.
Reception have had a fantastic first day back to school enjoying their ‘happiness party!’ We have had lots of laughter, jokes, juice, dancing and we have even made crispy cakes. They were absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed tasting them!! What a great day, well done Reception we are delighted to have you back!
Year 2 have loved being back today and have absolutely loved being back together with our friends. Year 2 have discussed what happiness means to us and what hope means. This afternoon we were busy making our Mother’s Day cards and crafts.
To put it simply, it’s good to be back! Year 5 showing how happy we are to be back doing PE with Mr Barron. We certainly haven’t lost our competitiveness!
This afternoon Year 2 were looking at line. We experimented with different lines and colours. We linked this to the art work we have been discussing by Andy Warhol.
Amber enjoyed dressing up as Anna for home schooling yesterday. She then changed into her pyjamas this afternoon, just like Miss Booth!

This afternoon Year 2 created their own World Book Day quiz using Google Forms. We had to apply our knowledge of stories and characters as well as our knowledge of World Book Day. We developed our word processing skills and understanding of Google Forms.
