Hello Yellow- year 2 loved wearing our bright colours and discussing different emotions we feel on a daily basis!
Year 1 are loving their hands on, practical maths resources and have enjoyed using these, this week!
‘Sophie is loving the story sack activities and is getting stuck right in with them…what a brilliant idea!’ We are so pleased you are enjoying it, Sophie!
Year 2 have had a busy week. Here is just some of the things we have been up to. On Tuesday afternoon we used clay to make our own Commonwealth Medals in DT. We will be painting them next week. On Wednesday morning we went on a spelling scavenger hunt in English, looking at our Common Exception words. On Thursday afternoon we continued with our new Mastering Number in maths.
Today Year 5 were learning about what soluble and insoluble means. We conducted an experiment by mixing materials in water and observing whether the dissolved or not. We are loving our ‘properties and changes of materials’ science topic!
Ozzie Owls had a great night last night making autumnal harvest crafts!
Reception have had a brilliant afternoon exploring in the nature garden. We have been learning all about our 5 senses and so went on a senses hunt! We had to draw some pictures of what we could see, hear, smell and touch. We decided there was nothing to taste in the nature garden though and so thought about what we had for lunch today!

Alfie and Oscar have had fun carving pumpkins last night!

In our science lessons we have been talking about our senses. This week we talked about touch. We identified how objects felt by touching with our hands. We then described how they felt. ![]()
