Before we bid farewell to our fluffy friends tomorrow Year 5 squeezed in a quick visit from the chicks. It was lovely to see such kind and caring qualities coming through.

An interesting lesson in Year 5 on Wednesday 6th March, assessing if the great Roman author – Pliny, was working at Year 5 expected standard or greater depth. Fantastic to see Year 5 identifying areas for improvement including use of apostrophes for plural possession.
On Monday 4th March year 5 studied the stations of the cross, considering what Christians could learn from these key events and debating who they felt was most significant in causing the death of Jesus.

Miss McKeown, Mr Richardson and Mr Usher were beaming on Tuesday night at Sunderland’s win!
What a brilliant day Year Five have had on their first day of this week at Software City! Here is some of the children’s comments:
Jack – We have been doing pictures of what we think people who work in technology businesses look like, most people drew men wearing suits and glasses. Some of us drew Jill who has been teaching us this week.
Daisy – I learned that IOC means internet of cows and that an update isn’t just something done by a computer but that it’s done by lots of people who write codes and then make them into the update . We learned that every job in the world uses technology and mostly everything we use has some sort of technology used in it .
Isla – Today I learnt that almost every job uses technology to do something and everything to do with code or updates a real person does it as well as the company and their computers. Some examples of jobs that use technology that we wouldn’t think of are footballers and farmers.
