Year 4 have been studying ‘Perplexed Pictures’.  We investigated the images to see what messages we could see within them. Are all pictures straight-forward or are there hidden themes and ideas that need a little more thought?

In Science as part of our Sounds topic, Year 4 have been testing a range of different materials to see which were best at locking out sound. Key to our testing was the concept of fairness and variables.

On Wednesday 19th June, our year 3 and 4 gymnastic teams competed at Temple Park against other schools, having lots of fun and showing off their amazing learning. They also had the chance to test their skills on a gymnastics obstacle course, trampoline and also a leotard creation task, which Erin in year 3 was able to win a medal for! Well done everyone!

As part of Faraway Friday, Year 4 have been learning about the Masai Mara tribe of Kenya. We learned that the men shoe their strength by doing the jumping dance… so we decided to find out who had the highest jump in Year 4…

Alfie was over the moon to receive his football trophies for last season.  One of his awards was Coaches Player Of The Season, we are so proud of all his achievements 

Romeo at Hebburn Town Football presentation yesterday as he receive his Trophy awards for football..it was a very proud moment for him..and he was over the moon.  Well done Romeo!  We are all very proud of you!!

Year 4 Have been studying the importance of self image linked to our mental well-being. We looked at two different pictures of the same person and asked ourselves which image was showing the more honest emotion. We then discussed the impact of social expectation and the media on how we feel we need to present ourselves. Finally we reminded ourselves to be honest with ourselves about our feelings. Don’t become the mask!
