Emily and Evie did the 3 mile Children’s Cancer Run yesterday with their mam and dad at Newcastle Race Course. They have raised £120 for charity. It was a great day!
Erin, Matilda and Lily spent Friday evening on Ouseburn Valley enjoying the events of The Late Shows Newcastle. They went to a glitter arty party at the biscuit factory and took part in a silent disco. Then went on to 7 stories and finished off at Ouseburn farm. All events are free and happened all over Newcastle all weekend!
For their worship challenge this week Year three have made a montage of sayings about choosing love. It is displayed in our worship area in class and we will be sharing it in Friday’s worship. We have discussed with the children how their saying may influence their lives and the links to Mental Health Awareness Week. In our reflective session we looked at motivational quotes and used it as a mindfulness activity.
Miss Pape along with George and Joey from reception, were delighted to be asked to year 3 to see some of the amazing writing all of the children were doing around Hansel and Gretal. Our reception boys were amazed by the fantastic work the children were completing and gave all of the class a big thumbs up. Miss Pape, Joey and George thought everyone deserved an Ozzie star so the boys made sure everyone received one. Thank you year 3 for inviting us to see the fabulous work you are all doing!
n worship this week we have been thinking about Martin Luther King. Year 3 have been drafting their answers and understanding to three key questions: Who was Martin Luther King? How was he a Courageous Advocate? How did he have a significant impact? We had lots of discussions about his life and how that led him to become the courageous advocate he was.
Year 3 were learning some balancing skills in gymnastics today, where our learning took us outside to practice some of our skills on some equipment! We learnt that there are different heights we can balance at, increasing the challenge and stretching our skills!
Phoebe wanted to share with you all that she’s been to the Player of the year event at the Stadium of Light tonight & met all the team & they all signed her footy top & she had a brilliant night.
Erin’s had a jam packed, fun packed Easter break. We have been to see Horrible Histories at the theatre, Dumbo at the pictures (Mam had a tear) we went to the Blue Reef aquarium, on a stream train at the train museum and spent lots of time with family and friends
Matilda and Lily have had a fab Easter holiday, having lovely days out and meeting up with their friends xx
Freya and Sebastian have had a fun filled couple of weeks! Sebastian celebrated his 5th Birthday, thank you to his school friends for coming to his party!
Trips to Clip and Climb, Inflataspace, swimming, cinema to see Dumbo Easter Egg hunts! Looking forward to coming back to school tomorrow!
