This weekend Erin took part in her annual swimming club gala and came first in 50m breaststroke and 50m backstroke in the over 9s races (she only just turned 9 on the 3rd of December) these races can involve young people up to age 15. Erin swims with her squad 4 times per week and along with school work, homework and life she has taken it all in her stride with no complaints. We are super proud as is mam, dad and brother Joe!

Year 4 have been making it rain indoors. Kind of… As part of our exploration of states of matter we used evaporation and condensation to make water fall from the underside of our plates. This is the same principle that governs the Earths water cycle.

What a glass day!

We visited one of the region’s oldest builds, St Peters Church, and drew plans of the building as well as working on our own stained glass designs.

Charley and Jessica  went to see abominable at the pictures, and had a great day together.

Year 4 spent the afternoon getting to grips with our new app to help with multiplication and division, Times Table Rockstars. We each set up our own avatar then set about earning coins by playing the times table games. Great times… 😉

Year 4 took a culinary trip back in time today, to make cookies just like the Anglo Saxons used to make! With. Basic mix of oats, honey, butter and raisins, we made our own cereal bars. And they were gorgeous!
