Today in Year 5, we have taken part in a virtual Amazon Tour. Everybody loved this in Year 5 and voted in the challenges, made excellent notes and were fully absorbed in the tour! We have learned lots about STEM careers at Amazon!
Year 5 loved this morning’s worship which consisted of making poppies in preparation for our Remembrance Day service on Thursday. Thank you Miss McKeown for giving us this fab task!

Year 5 were hand-delivered their pen pal letters yesterday from Bede Burn Primary School. We can’t wait to learn more about our pen pal and make some new friends!
Yesterday in Year 5, we were learning about the ‘7 things that God hates’. Miss Topping asked the class to come up with some freeze frames to depict each line in the proverb – well done Year 5!

Today Year 5 were learning about what soluble and insoluble means. We conducted an experiment by mixing materials in water and observing whether the dissolved or not. We are loving our ‘properties and changes of materials’ science topic!
Yesterday, Year 5 had some road safety sessions outside of the school. We were reminded of the green cross code and how to cross the road safely. Thank you to Kim for reminding us!
Year 5/6 have had a fantastic, fun-filled week, where they have enjoyed paper aeroplane and tower building competitions, while analysing results and evaluating areas of improvement. They have made and played their own top trumps, built water resistant dens in the
nature garden and made the most of the the sun with a range of PE games. Well done to all involved, it’s been a great end to the year and good luck in your new adventures Year 6!
