


The 15th July marked the date for Year 5’s annual Sports Day competition. Year 5 staff were so impressed with the determination and ability shown and the Sportsmanship and peer support was great to see! Keep it up Year 5!
This week, (WB 11.07.21) Year 5 have been doing Bikeability, where they have enjoyed putting their skills to the test in our local community, learning all about road safety. The instructors were hugely impressed by the maturity shown – Well done Year 5!
Year 5 LOVED Fit 4 Fun on Friday, what a fab day!


Year 5 had their first Forest school session of the term. We studied features of our local forest looking at its layers and compared this to the rainforests of the world. We considered how plants and animals might be best suited to specific layers and what factors may lead to the rapid growth of plants in the rainforest.
Year 5 have had a busy day with Miss French learning all about Jordan. A big well done to all of the boys and girls who have been showing great independence and resilience completing these projects at home. We’ve linked to topics such as Geography, History and even RE.
Year 5 have been busy making some exemplars for our prayer space activity this week. We’re looking at Forest hope.
It’s been a busy afternoon in Year 5 learning all about Viking runes and creating our own examples with messages of positivity in our hope and happiness week.
