South Tyneside School Cooks receive their awards from Cllr Joan Atkinson.
A huge well done to Louisa (our super duper cook) for all of her hard work in cooking such fabulous meals for our children.
She really deserves a customer excellence award for her work in St Oswald’s in South Tyneside!
The whole school picnic tomorrow will have to be cancelled due to the field being extremely wet. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Can we please ask children still bring their picnic? Also we are still going to have the ice-cream van so if children would like to bring up to £2 tomorrow they can purchase an ice-cream
We really enjoyed coding club last night! Our two challenges to use algorithms to make the perfect glass of orange juice and to organise a range of coding terms to meet their definition. 
We all had a super day celebrating World Book Day. We had so many parents come and join us in our learning and some of them even got dressed up! Why not ask us what we got up to?

Daniel was lucky enough to win tickets to watch Sunderland vs Southampton at the weekend. He absolutely loved the match despite Sunderland getting beat 4-0.
On Friday 3rd February 2017 we investigated the local area near our school, St Oswald’s Road. We were all able to describe what we could see and use some simple vocabulary, such as house, street and fields. We also recorded what we had seen straight onto a map. When we got back to class we shared what we had seen. Later today we produced our own maps in our books. Some of us even produced a key.
Little Dribblers will be cancelled after school today as there will not be enough time to empty the hall following the School Fayre. Any money for this session will be reimbursed. Thanks
