Y3 – Spanish – Spanish Greetings – 23.9.19

Year 3 are really enjoying learning Spanish this year. This week they have been learning Spanish greetings and thinking about how to write and pronounce them correctly. It is so much fun and they can’t wait till next week to learn some more and to try out the greetings they have learnt again in class.

Y3/Y5 – Phoebe and Isaac have a busy Summer – 3.9.19

Isaac and Phoebe have had a fun filled, jam packed summer holiday. They went camping with their dad then went to London where they walked around for 10 miles sightseeing, visited the London aquarium, Houses of Parliament and Hamleys toy store.
They also went to Legoland (where that saw Mrs Booth) and Woburn safari park where they touched a real elephant and saw giraffes walking past the car. On returning home they have completed muddy bikes rides, been ten pin bowling, had beach and park days, crazy golf and so much more with family and friends . Everyone is glad to be back at school for a rest 😂 but we are planning our next memories too.

Y1/Y3 – Lucy and Daniel have a jam-packed Summer Holiday – 2.9.19

Daniel and Lucy have had a jam-packed summer holidays! It started off with Lucy’s Mary Poppins Returns Showtacular show with her friends Lily and Anna. We’ve had lots of fun walking our dog Cassie in the sunshine and visiting Chester-le-street park, playing in the splash pads. We went to the Grub Club, which was lots of fun and made bird feeders for our garden. We’ve  had lots of family time this summer; grandma and grandad took them on the ferry and they visited The Word. We’ve had pool days, park days and visited mommy’s family in Staffordshire and we went to Alton Towers, it was great fun! Lucy did not like the haunted mansion. They both went on the Runaway Mine Train, they were so brave! We have also visited Shiremoor Adventure Playground which was brilliant and went to Wallington on bank holiday Monday, building dens, having a go at Archery and doing lots of exploring! Lucy had an experience of being a popstar for the day recording Shotgun with some school and dancing friends and she went to see Moana at The Sage with her friend Harriet. Finally, we have started the Elma hunt and Daniel cekebrated his 7th birthday on the last weekend of the holidays!! He had a football party with all his friends and they had a great time. We have had a wonderful summer and didn’t want it to end!!

Y2 – Joseph goes on an Elmer Hunt – 1.9.19

The highlight of Joseph’s 6 weeks had got to be the Elmer’s Great North Parade.
So far we’ve found 107 out of 164 to find.
Equipped with his map and binoculars we’ve been hunting in North and South Tyneside and Newcastle city centre and Newcastle/Gateshead quayside.

Y1/2 – PE Games and Ice-Pops – 16.7.19

Year 1 and 2 had a brilliant PE afternoon together taking part in a range of games/activities such as fruit salad, dodgeball, throwing and catching games and developing our balance and coordination on the trim trail. We then had a surprise treat off Miss Booth and Mrs Wells and had some tasty ice pops.
