Our reception children had a great afternoon during our mini beasts workshop. We held and touched lots of rain forest animals and learned about how they live and the number of legs they each have. Some of us found the bugs a little bit scary but most of us were really excited!
We are SO excited because our frogspawn has hatched and we now have four tadpoles! We can’t wait to watch them grow and see how much they change. Watch this space…
Reception are loving our new topic all about growth and new life. Today, we planted our own potatoes and now we will wait until June and dig them out then. We will keep watering them and can’t wait to see how big they are when we pull them out!
Finn and Ollie have had a very special weekend, they have been page boys for their godfather and godmum. They were so good all day, kind and polite. Mam and dad couldn’t have been prouder…they just hope the boys are not too tired today!
Reception loved their visit from the dental nurses today. We learnt about how to care for our teeth and played games which helped us to think about good and bad things for our teeth. We used some new language like bacteria and plaque! 
Alfie has had a lovely time at Bamburgh Castle at the weekend. He really enjoyed looking at the old things.

On Friday 7th February, we took part in an early years sporting festival at Temple Park. The children did really well and developed a wide range of physical skills including jumping, passing, stretching and dribbling. Well done reception!

Reception have had an amazing afternoon exploring our AMAZING new outdoor area! We are so excited for the warmer weather when we can do some planting and gardening to sort out all of our growing beds. Watch this space for final touches!
