We are so excited to announce that reception class have become proud parents of fourteen lovely little chicks! We have had such a fun morning examining the hatched shells, holding the chicks and learning how to take care of them. Once we get to know them a little bit better we will be naming each one, we can’t wait!
We are loving the gorgeous sunshine and have spent the morning learning outside! Some of us have completed activities while others have painted, created dens, got wet splashing at the water wall and played some ball games. We hope the sun stays a little longer!
Reception have been learning about recording using marks they can interpret and explain. We have spent lots of time learning about tally charts, on Thursday morning we went on a walk to the top of St Oswald’s Rd to carry out a car tally!
Reception are so excited because our caterpillars have arrived! Today we each picked a caterpillar, named it and rehomed it inside its own pot with caterpillar food. We can’t wait to watch them grow and learn about the life cycle of a caterpillar!
We are very excited in Reception. Tadpoles have arrived and we are watching them carefully for changes.
Reception have been very busy creating structures to provide shelter for bugs. we named it a bug hotel.
Layton, Rory and Oliver all passed their Karate grading today and moved up to their next belt which they are all wearing.
Layton is in the kids at burns school of black belts and Oliver and Rory are in the mini dragons ! They all did us and the school proud in their performances today.
Reception have been looking at growth and decay. They were given two different types of bean to look after and observe changes over time.
Corey and Jake have had a lovely cold afternoon sledging and snowball fights on the clock field. The boys have had an absolute blast. Thank you for giving them this opportunity. Stay safe and hopefully see you all Monday.
