

In Art, Year 3 have been looking at Katie Scott who is a botanical artist. We then spent time creating pieces of artwork in the style of Katie Scott using her Botanicum Postcards as inspiration.
In History, we researched how the Roman army was so successful. We found out that it was due to high levels of training and how they are structured!
Wow what morning reception have had focused on all things Creep Crawl Wriggle! The children had a fantastic experience with Paul from Discovery Zoo, who told us all about different creepy crawlies and let us handle them if we were feeling brave! Well done superstars what a great way to finish our learning 



In PE this week, Y5 applied their skills to a game of Kwick Cricket. We practised our striking and fielding skills and started to understanding the rules of the game.
This week at swimming, we concentrated on back crawl. We focused on eyes on the ceiling, ears in the water and kicking our legs. 

Year 6 enjoyed a post SATs reward with an afternoon of ice cream and fun in the park!
Last week, Year 5 looked at how we could compose a piece of music using our prior knowledge of major and minor chords.
Year 5 had a jam packed afternoon of science last week, looking into homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures. We looked at the different methods we could use to separate a variety of mixtures and made predictions about what we thought would happen.
In multi-sports club we focused on tennis this week. The children practised dribbling and balancing with the ball to gain control. We then moved into a rally with our partners focusing on striking the ball.
