Y6 had a fab time at beach yesterday, thanks to a wonderful workshop provided by South Shields Surf School. The children took part in a scavenger hunt and then created their own shelters. Well done to Y6 for their effort in digging those holes; it was quite the challenging task!
Year 5 collated all of their music learning yesterday and completed their composition gold task. We showed our composition knowledge by composing and performing our own ternary piece of music.
Year 5 loved taking part in Prayer Space Day with Year 1! We focused on three tasks linked to the Holy Trinity. Thanks Mr Richardson for organising such a lovely activity for us all!

Today, Year 5 became historians for the morning! As part of our English unit on balanced arguments, we are looking at who is the most significant Ancient Greek figure.
Before we could do this, we needed to conduct historical research to find out more about famous Athenians and how they have impacted the world today. We looked at Socrates and Plato, using information texts and internet research to find out as much as we could to present a balanced argument.
Reception have started our new RE unit of special places this afternoon, Mrs Chalder asked us to discuss this with our parents and share a photo of us in our special places. We have discussed where makes us feel safe and happy, who we visit places with and what it feels like when we are there. Well done reception, a great start to our new learning

Year 3 enjoyed focusing on The Holy Trinity during Prayer Space yesterday. We had a great morning!

This morning, reception and Y6 buddied up for our summer prayer space! This was focused on The Holy Trinity. Well done superstars, you worked so gorgeously together, Mrs Chalder and Mr Appleby were so impressed
