On Tuesday afternoon Miss Robson and Mrs Wood led forest school. Year 2 were set the challenge to make a waterproof shelter to keep the dolls dry. Children had to work in groups to gather materials and build a shelter. They then tested the shelters with water. Children then recorded the results and compared the shelters.
Staff were impressed with the team work, communication and scientific vocabulary.

Year 3 recently enjoyed an RE session with Hiba, Alia and Aya’s mam all about the Islamic festival of Ramadan. Using Google Meet, Hiba hosted an interactive session teaching the children about what Ramadan is, why it’s important to Muslims and the impact is has on everyday life. The children were fascinated and Hiba did well to answer the questions being fired her way. Thanks Hiba ![]()
Year 5 had a great day on Monday, cooking some traditional Viking recipes. We made Viking Stew, bread and spiced oat cookies!

Italia wanted to share some pictures of her adventure to Calver Trust in Kielder over the weekend for birthday 🙂
The Year 3 embalmers are back…but this time they are making canopic jars ready to accompany their clients to the afterlife. Coffee tins and Pringle tubs have been covered in small strips of newspaper and paper mache ready to paint and decorate!
Year 4 had a fantastic Computing day on Wednesday. In preparation for Safer Internet Day, they developed their knowledge of how to search for information safely online and how to recognise which sites are more trustworthy than others. They also gained a better understanding of facts and opinions and that not all the information we read online is true! Their favourite part of the day was learning about ‘bots’, what they are, what we use them for and how they can be both beneficial and risky. To make everyone more aware of these benefits and risks, they used their knowledge to create eBooks on Purple Mash, which they hope to share with the rest of the school.
Reception had a fantastic time at a Multiskills festival this morning! We had lots of fun taking part in lots of activities and sports. What a great time, we showed some super skills! ![]()
