Our lovely forest club battled the wind to do one of their favourite activities tonight…den building! Fab efforts from everyone, and loads of working together as a team and helping each other out!
Today is World Science Day and year 1 have learnt about Charles Macintosh who invented waterproof fabric. It was amazing to hear all of year 1s fantastic subject knowledge linked to materials and why his invention is so significant for our lives. We created fact files to show our understanding of this very important scientist.

Year 4 were lucky enough to participate in a super fun sports afternoon with Olympic athlete Lucy Turner today! We had a continuous fitness session alongside the whole school, and then Lucy talked to us about her journey, including how she achieved all of her gold medals!
Yesterday, Year 5 had a jam-packed day! We were lucky enough to have a metro session in the morning where we learned about the new metro lines and how to keep ourselves safe when using them. In the afternoon, we spent some time with Lucy Turner, a famous heptathlete! We took part in some fitness activities and then joined her for a Q&A session in the hall!
Wow, Reception loved our workshop with Lucy Turner today! We had so much fun doing some exercises and keeping fit. Great job Reception

Reception made their poppies this week and we attached them to the fence this morning for Remembrance!
Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed our visit from Lucy Turner a GB heptathlon athlete! We loved the exercises she gave us and cheering on our friends. We then learnt so much about Lucy Turner and her achievements! A massive thank you Lucy 💪🏻⭐
This morning year 1 had a visit from Deborah who works for Nexus. She told us all about how we can stay staff on the metro, around the metro and when we are near the metro. Miss Booth was super impressed with our prior knowledge of metro safety but we have learnt so much more so a massive thank Deborah.

Year 2 are having lots of fun in maths, learning our times tables. This week we have been playing bingo to test our knowledge of our 5 times table. Mrs Wells and Miss Riley have been blown away with how well we are all doing with this and can’t wait to try it again with our 2’s and 10’s. We are very proud Year 2, keep up the fantastic learning!
