Although Kate was at home on Friday, she was with us all in spirit on Friday. She managed 200 laps of the garden for her sponsored fun run and the family had their very own family picnic to celebrate Pride.

Fit 4 Fun has been amazing! Here are our year 2 children enjoying their morning!
Big ‘Thank You’ to the paint shop team at Nissan sponsoring us over £100 for our fun run today to raise money for the restoration of the Nature Garden! Whoop whoop!
Y6 completed their courageous advocacy fundraising event today. The class split off into four groups to support four separate causes that they feel passionately about. Those passionate about cancer completed 33 laps of running around the school field, the animal rights group completed an obstacle course, those supporting the environment completed 30 minutes of non-stop cycling laps of the yard and the mental health awareness group played chess and draughts in the nature garden. Each group have chosen charities to give their raised money to and totals will be counted at the start of next week (so any further donations from Y6 parents would be welcomed greatly!). Well done Y6 at raising money for such fine causes!
On Thursday morning Year 2 completed a carousel of activities linked to their learning around time. Children read different clock faces, matched the clock faces to the time, ordered time from earliest to latest and also used the clock faces to show the different times. Miss McKeown and Mrs Foster were impressed with everyone’s independence, engagement and fluency when using language of time.
For our courageous advocacy worship this morning we wrote a shared thank you letter for Gemma at Blue Cross. We thanked her for teaching us about how to take care of dogs and how to be safe around them. We are now experts! We then wrote our own thank you messages and these will be shared with Gemma. Well done Year One!
Yesterday, Year 4 completed their courageous advocacy fun run. 15 laps of the school yard were completed by each member of the class in honour of raising money for those with cancer. The class have managed to raise £230 – thank you to everyone who has donated to the page! Year 4 were particularly impressed that they each received a Greggs voucher and sticker to celebrate the end of their run!

For forest school Year one used their senses to describe our nature garden. We came up with loads of adjectives and we even used similes.
Here is our superstar Maddie, she has raised £50 on her football card! WOW! Well done, Maddie and a big thank you!
