Busy morning in the swift house this morning
Busy morning in the swift house this morning

It’s been such a strange time! In the Richardson household, we’ve been doing little bits of learning activities from our schools along with spending time exercising and doing jobs out in the garden. I’ve been working on some Treehouse Tutorial videos to help children and parents out with some of their home learning. Miss you all! Mr R
The children at Keelman’s Way loved the gifts that Y6 had presented them with earlier in the week. It’s wonderful to see so many happy faces! Well done Y6 and particularly Daisy, Grace and Lucas for all your hard work on their Key project.
On Friday 7th February, Y6 enjoyed a fantastic day at Sunderland University. We went on a campus tour, discussed different types of degrees and qualifications, got to know an international student and the culture of her country and completed ‘Mini Medics’, which helped us think about healthy living in a range of ways. It was a great day full of cultural capital, science, RSE and transition that we all loved!
What a fantastic day in Year 6 on Monday 3rd February, planning and creating a digital video and brochure to advertise our school. It was lovely to hear the gratitude our pupils have for all of the things we have in place to provide them with a safe and welcoming school.
A huge congratulations to Daisy, Grace and Lucas who have been part of ‘The Key Fund Project’. Their presentation was a great success and the judging panel were blown away by their ideas. Following the Year 6 school trip, the children wanted to build on the connection they had made with the pupils of Keelman’s Way School, by buying them sensory toys and personalised pens (as pictured below). The children truly value the friendships they have made and we want the children of Keelman’s Way to know how loved and valued they are in our community. Having been granted all £250, we can’t wait to put idea into action. If this isn’t ‘love in action’ then we don’t know what is? ️
The KS2 children who managed 100% attendance across all of autumn term had a fab time bowling today! It got very competitive, but thankfully the children reminded the staff that it’s not the winning but the taking part that matters!! A lovely morning had by all!

On Monday 16th December, Y6 spent the day at Keelman’s Way School. We joined in with their Christmas activities, watched the secondary Christmas production and, most importantly, made new friends. It was a joy to see the children all getting along so well!
