Yesterday Y5 had an amazing trip at the allotments, this week! We completed a hypothesis sheet where we thought about the location of allotments, what type of soil they had, the biodiversity and amenities that were around the allotments and how they are sustainable! We benefitted so much from being outside and completing fieldwork!

Year 5 had a brilliant session with our visitor from Nexus who told us all about metro safety. We discussed how to keep ourselves safe in and around the metro and also learned all about the new metros for Tyne and Wear!

Year 5 had a fantastic time with parents at our Winter Wonderland. We loved participating in all of the activities and moving around the nature garden. A big thank you to Mrs Whittle for the amazing idea and planning of the day!

Year 5 had a fantastic time, on Tuesday, during their Geography gold task. We completed a settlement enquiry which resulted in the class walking around our local environment, looking at the features and characteristics available, to determine what classification of settlement Hebburn/Jarrow is. This was our first fieldwork trip in Year 5 and we can’t wait to complete some more throughout the year!
