Y3/Y5 – Self Isolation – Phoebe and Isaac have fun – 18.5.2020

Isaac and Phoebe have been having fun, we’ve been on bike rides, had a game of rounders in the park, made our own pizzas (our big brother made the dough from scratch!), baked lots of cakes, made a den that we slept in overnight and we got up at 3.45am at the weekend and our Mam drove us to the beach where we had hot chocolate and watched the sunrise, it was so so pretty and we definitely kept to the social distancing rules, we were the only crazy people out that early! We did have a nap when we got home though. It was amazing to see the sky changing colours even through the clouds. We skimmed some stones across the sea before we headed back home. We love being at home with our family but we are missing our friends too, thank goodness we can stay in touch on our tablets and computers. Love from Isaac and Phoebe xx

Y1/Y3 – Self Isolation – Lucy and Dan keep busy – 3.5.2020

Dan and Lucy have been keeping busy during lock-down. We’ve been going on lots of walks in our local area. It’s been nice enjoying what we are lucky to have on our doorstep! We’ve had a teddy bears picnic in the garden and Lucy has learned to ride her bike without stabilisers, Bradley Wiggins, watch out!! Dan has discovered his dinosaurs again and has been busy creating various ‘Dan’s Dino World’ and teaching mom and dad lots of new facts. Lucy enjoyed her online dance class and has opened her nail bar and doll Salon which was lots of fun and of course Dan is never far from a football, keeping his skills up. We had a family colouring competition to design your own football kit and team name (a work in progress!), getting our friends and family to vote on Facebook – mom and dad were joint winners! We’re keeping up with Maths, English and reading and going to start our class family projects. We hope you are all ok and miss our St Oswalds family. Stay safe,

Y3 – Self Isolation – Mrs Wells is missing you all – 30.4.2020

Hi everyone! Well another week has passed and I’m missing you all more and more each day!

We’ve been doing more cooking and this week it’s been chocolate chip shortbread, chocolate fudge fairy cakes and we even baked our own bread from scratch. It was delicious 😋.
Not being able to go out for family meals has been tough so we’ve been trying to pretend we are out instead. We went for a make believe curry and also fish and chips.
My boys have made a wish jar and we are filling it with ideas of things to do and places to go when everything gets back to normal again. They have also started a time capsule and are putting in things they are doing now so they can show their own families when they are older.
I’ve been trying a bit of photography and making the most of the beautiful scenery on our daily walks. You never know I might take it up as a hobby, I think I’m quite good at it 😂
Keep sending your posts to Mrs Smith so I can see what you are all up to, it makes me smile every day and helps me to feel a bit closer to you all.

Y3 – Self Isolation – The Conway’s at Sunrise – 27.4.2020

Hi everyone. I am missing you all terribly and I love seeing your posts on Facebook. I’ve been for lots of bikes rides, exercising with my friends (online!), taking visits to our park and even to the beach for sunrise a couple of times. Today it was 5:30am! My girls enjoyed a front room sleepover at the weekend and Una dyed her hair rainbow colours. Take lots of care everyone, love Mrs Conway x

Y3 – Self Isolation – Ellie in Lockdown – 27.4.2020

I hope you are well. Ellie is missing school, her friends and teachers terribly.

On a positive note I have attached a few photos as lockdown has given us a chance to bake, play games, get artistic and show our weekly appreciation at 8pm every Thursday for our NHS and all of our key workers.
