Reception had a very special visit the other day and received a letter from the North Pole! This was from Santa and he asked Reception to find the post box and post their letters to him 
. We went on a hunt to find it and then posted our letters!

Wow, Reception have had an absolutely amazing time on their very first trip this morning! We have been to the Urban Factory to take part in an Early Years co-ordination festival. We have all been super stars and have shown some amazing skills, as well as having tonnes of fun!!

What a lovely day had by all at St Oswald’s, on Friday! Reception have thoroughly enjoyed all things Pudsey for Children in Need, including the copper Pudsey and our dance-a-thon! 🤩
Reception have been learning lots about churches this week in RE. We have been thinking about why God is so special and important in a church. We have created our own pictures of what we think God looks like, we have made churches in the large construction and we have made some small churches too! Well done Reception

Reception have had a brilliant, jam packed day of learning about Spain! We have been super busy learning to count in Spanish, designing a Flamenco dress, creating Spanish flags, listening to Spanish music, finding Spain on google Earth AND we even managed to do some Flamenco dancing too!! Wow what a fab day Reception 🤩💃 Adiós!
Reception had a lovely visit from Mrs Smith this morning with a surprise! We were thrilled to receive our letters from our pen pals at Bede Burn! We have loved seeing of all of the things the children in reception Bede Burn like and can’t wait to write to them again soon 
Reception have had a brilliant day for their first Forest school! We have looked at how God is a creator and all of the things he created in 7 days. We had to search the nature garden to see what we could find that he had made and then we had to make a picture using things we found and gathered in the nature garden! This had to represent God’s creations. Well done reception, what a fab day 🌲🌳🌿
