What a fab day reception have had for World Book Day! We packed so much into yesterday and have thoroughly enjoyed wearing our AMAZING costumes. We looked at a story called ‘Thank Goodness for Bob’ and had to create our own worry bubbles…we then used real bubbles and made them disappear by POPPING them, we loved this!! We also shared our favourite books with each other this afternoon too! ![]()

What an exciting start to our new topic Reception have had this week! We have had some animal visitors to our classroom from year 5 – in the form of guinea pigs! We have also had a special delivery of chick eggs and can’t wait for these to hatch ![]()
Reception have loved Food and Nutrition week! We have learned lots about healthy foods and a balanced diet. We have then thoroughly enjoyed making our healthy smoothies for a dinosaur today…especially the part where we got to taste them

Reception had a fantastic time at a Multiskills festival this morning! We had lots of fun taking part in lots of activities and sports. What a great time, we showed some super skills! ![]()
Wow what a busy day reception have had! This afternoon we had a forest school afternoon and went to the nature garden to look for the fossils we made yesterday! We pretended to be palaeontologists and had to dig and search for our fossils! We also listened to some dinosaurs roars and role played being dinosaurs ![]()

Reception have had a fantastic week of learning in maths all about capacity! We have had so much fun and been taking part in lots of activities linked to this. We have enjoyed exploring in the water and sand with this and have been learning lots about full, nearly full, half full, nearly empty and empty ![]()

Reception continued their learning on dinosaurs this week and started to focus of naming dinosaurs and exploring their features and the purpose of these! We certainly have some little dino experts in our class!
Reception had a super afternoon yesterday, exploring dinosaur textures! We investigated the surfaces and textures in our classroom and described them, evaluating if and why we thought they may or may not have been similar to that of a dinosaur – wow!

Reception had so much fun dressing up like dinosaurs with the masks and costumes, exploring different types of dinosaurs in the small world area and looking closely at fossils.
