This morning year 1 and reception had a visit from Debbie who volunteers for Animal Aid. She taught us all about different animals and how we can look after them properly. We thought about the environment and what we can do to help animals in different habitats. Look at all of our contributions that Debbie has taken from us this morning she is going to distribute our donations to local animals charities! Well done reception and year 1! You are being amazing courageous advocates!
The children in reception are working hard this week on their doubling skills! This is something new and we have made some printing butterflies to fold and double our numbers

Wow what a fab day Reception have had for the Jubilee! We had a brilliant time with Bebeburn reception this morning, making lots of crowns, flags and biscuits and then we thoroughly enjoyed our picnic lunch! We had a lovely afternoon playing lots and games and having lots of fun together! 
As part of year 1 and receptions courageous advocacy learning around animals, we had a virtual visit from Kirsten from cats protection! We had such a fun, informative and interactive morning and now feel we are experts about how to care for cats. Following our visit we have written a thank you letter to Kirsten and created our own thank you messages for her. We cannot wait to share our knowledge with the rest of the school in our upcoming joint assembly/worship!

Reception thoroughly enjoyed their session this morning finding out all about different jobs! We learned lots and it has certainly inspired lots of us with what we want to do when we grow up!
Reception have had such a busy Miles Away Monday! Not only have we been learning lots about Italy, we also combined this with out food and nutrition DT! We made pizzas today and had to plan what we wanted on them. We then loved making these and I think tasting these was our favourite part of it all!

Reception have had a fantastic day on their trip to Bill Quay Farm! We got to see lots of animals including guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, goats, snakes, chickens, geese, sheep, horses AND we even got to feed some pigs AND see some alpacas! 
. We also completed a Gruffalo trail and thoroughly enjoyed our outdoor picnic at lunchtime . We definitely have some tired boys and girls after our fab day, well done Reception!
Reception have had a busy week this week researching, planning and making a collar for a pet! We worked so hard using our cutting and expressive arts & design skills to create our collars. We had to think really carefully about how we would like these to attach and open! Keep your eyes peeled for the finished products next week when we can test these on Henry 
Reception had a fantastic morning at a Gym Festival at the Urban Factory. We showed some super gross motor skills and how much our physical development is improving, wow well done Reception! ️
