Reception had great morning for Far Away Friday! We learned lots about South Africa and completed lots of activities around this such as making flags, creating artwork, designing Rugby shirts, exploring African animals and creating Table Mountain!
Reception and year one decided to go on a litter pick in receptions garden to continue our climate change learning.

Reception have been looking at Climate change in our challenge set by Miss Topping for Climate Change week. We focussed on recycling and reusing! This is what we are doing with our recycling DT project where we are going to make our own boats. We had a look at some of the recycling we brought in, why this is important, watched a short video about recycling and how we are going to use it to design our boats! 


Reception have had a lovely day on their trip on the Ferry! We went all the way across the river to North Shields!
We loved exploring water transport! We then loved eating our packed lunches along the Fish Quay

‘Today’s the day the teddy bears had a picnic’…😁🐻🥪! Reception class and Bedeburn Reception had a wonderful time at their teddy bear picnic today. We loved spending time together and most of all loved our delicious picnic lunches! 😋
Reception learned lots about Racism this morning in their worship challenge set by Mrs Conway and the Racism Courageous Advocates! We loved this challenge and talked about all of our differences. We know this is something we celebrate and everyone has different skin! We created a person full of lots of different skin colours 

Reception completed their worship challenge this morning set by the Courageous Advocacy group looking at the elderly and dementia. We coloured Forget Me Nots and learned about it representing dementia!
Our reception children think it was an amazing sports day had by all!
