Year 2 and Year 4 had the best time celebrating the ‘international day of peace’ during prayer space day. We thought about peace in many different ways, alongside reflecting on what makes us feel the most at peace. We ended our session by ‘being still’ in the nature garden. Thanks to Mr Richardson and Mrs O’Doherty for planning and prepping our session!
Year 4 had a lovely afternoon exploring cardinal and intercardinal directions this afternoon. We looked at how we could translate the directions on a map, and then moved on to explore six figure grid references.
Year 4 have shown fantastic geographical skills this afternoon! They have learned all about the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. We looked at which countries are in these tropical areas and what the climate is like!

Year 4 have been enjoying their PE sessions so far this term! We have been doing gymnastics and have practiced our precision with our rolls, making sure our bodies are held in the correct positions and using our core muscles

Earlier in the week, year 4 took part in ‘Democracy Day’. We learned all about a democracy and our voting system. We then took part in a mini election in class, voting for the most impressive animal…before we then created our own manifesto to be a School Councillor! We then used the polling station to cast our votes
Congratulations Thomas and Meryl
Year 4 have begun their topic of ‘Contrast and Compliment’ in art. We tried to create a colour wheel in our cool task and use our sticky knowledge around which colours are primary, secondary and tertiary!
