Year 2 followed up their Cheerleading PE unit from before Christmas by attending The Urban Factory to take part in some cheerleading activities, such as the tumble track, routine making and using the brilliant equipment!
Year 2 had a visit from Lucy this morning, who carried out a workshop based on the five ways of well-being. We enjoyed lots of practical activities that will support us in keeping our minds healthy.
Year 2 had an absolutely fantastic day at the Laing Art Gallery. This morning we enjoyed a workshop on print making. We created our own Collagraph – which was a printing block made out of collaged materials. We then used it to print with ink. This afternoon, we enjoyed exploring the gallery and looking at cool and warm colours used in different pieces of artwork. We were such a credit to our school with our impeccable behaviour!
Year 2 enjoyed their Metro Safety workshop yesterday morning. We discussed the ways that we can stay safe when using the Metro. We will be putting this into practice tomorrow on our trip to Newcastle.
Year 2 are enjoying lots of practical learning, using money. in their new maths topic. We have been making amounts using different coins and using part whole models to partition amounts.
Year 2 had the absolute best morning at Winter Wonderland. 
Year 2 had a fantastic Christmas party this afternoon. We had lots of fun dancing, singing and playing party games. Thank you to our lovely grown ups for providing us with delicious treats. 
Wow! What a fabulous afternoon Year 2 had at The Customs House watching Aladdin. 
Year 4 teamed up with Year 2 for Christmas STEM day, on Friday. We thought about making our own Christmas decorations by creating our own template then decorating them with wool and string ⛄️❄️🎅🏻
Year 2 had an absolutely fantastic morning at Jarrow Library. We really enjoyed listening to stories before exploring the library. We then chose books to borrow to and bring back to school to read. We are so excited for our next class visit!
