Yesterday, year three had a visit from Deborah who works for Nexus. She introduced us to the new metro train which is coming in the next 2 years. We learns lots of new facts about how is has been built and what is included on the train. We also learnt about how to stay safe and Deborah was impressed on how much we knew. We can’t wait to be able to go on these new metros. 
We had a fun, festive time at our Winter Wonderland. We created baubles, jingle sticks, found the lost reindeers key and drank hot chocolate while Mrs Smith read to us. We even got a visit off Santa who told us we needed to be up super early for Christmas Day !
Year Three had such a full filled time at their Christmas party. We danced to Christmas songs and played games such as pass the parcel, musical statues and Christmas corners. We had such an amazing time! 
Year 3 had such a fun PE lesson playing games with the parachute. We played sharks and life guards where the shark had to get us and the lifeguards had to save us. We also played cat and mice which you shake the parachute and the mice try not to get caught by the cat.
In year three we practiced quarter turn, three quarter turn, half turn and full turn. Using clockwise and anti clockwise. Mrs Chamberlain instructed different turns using different starting points to see where the children would be positioned.
This week in Spanish year 3 have been learning to listen to and follow simple classroom instructions. Year 3 are loving our Spanish lessons with Mr Mathias. 
Today, year three have made our Christmas cards and calendars which are coming home today! We had so much fun creating our wreaths using cotton wool and green paint. We then created our seasonal calendar using coloured strips to represent the 4 seasons. We had a wonderful festive morning.
Year 3 had a fantastic time at The Word creating our STEM baubles which we will be selling at the Christmas fayre this Friday. We also programmed lego by following an algorithm so we could make them rotate. We then played on chatterkids to make charactors talk by using voice recording. We has such a fun filled day!
Look what Snowy the Elf did in Year Three’s classroom this week! She decorated our tree, changed the clock to home time, put photos of herself all around our class and hid in Steve’s rib cage. We have loved finding her every day. I wonder what she gets up to next week!
In art today year 3 evaluated our prehistoric pots that we made at Segedunum. We walked around to see what we liked about each other pots and what they could of done to improve them. We then self assessed our own work in our books and what we have learnt during this process.
