Last week Tony Clark (Anya and AJ’s dad) got the Headteacher’s star of the week certificate for his amazing knowledge of the Vikings and sharing this with Year Four during their COOL afternoon. Here he is proudly showing off his certificate which is now proudly on show on the family fridge!
Last week Year 4 enjoyed their half termly library visit. We enjoyed our story from Catherine the librarian, before returning our books. We then explored the library and took out some new books to read back at school.
Year 4 have had a fabulous DT filled day! For our DT topic, Fresh Food Good Food, we have been looking at healthy snacks. We started by looking at food packaging, working out what information was found on packaging and why it was there. Then we designed our own packaging, making sure we included all the necessary information.
We then spent our afternoon making our very own healthy snacks. Using all of our culinary skills, we created some fruity popcorn, some hummus, and some fruit skewers. We enjoyed trying these before thinking about our evaluations after.
