For our worship challenge this week, Year 5 thought about the question, ‘Did a God grow the perfect garden?’

Year 5 have been working scientifically in our new science topic, Forces and Mechanisms. We investigated the difference between weight and mass of different objects around the classroom using both scales and Newton meters.
This week in Year 5 we have started our new art topic, Tints, Tones and Shades. We focused on starting with a base colour and then experimented with adding black, white and grey to create different tints, tones and shades.
Year 5 enjoyed visiting the library this week. We listened to Catherine reading a story, and then loved looking through all of the new books! We took lots of books back to school linked to all of our autumn topics for our reading corner too.
Year 5 have loved starting their new PE unit off swimming, and have been focusing on their back crawl this week
Year 5 have been continuing mastering times tables in guided maths, and have been working hard on practicing their multiples this week.
Year 5 have loved delving straight into their first maths unit of place value, and have been using the practical resources to help further our understanding.
Year 4 have LOVED our Fit 4 Fun morning. We enjoyed all of the different stations, including cheerleading, football, rugby, tennis and even an obstacle course!
