Reception have been continuing their learning of the Nativity story. This week we focused on The Wise Men and the importance of their gifts. We discussed what the 3 gifts were and why they were special. We made crowns to signify The Wise Men, don’t we look amazing? 
What a brilliant morning reception had at The Urban Factory for a EYFS Coordination Festival! We completed 6 different activities which developed our body strength, coordination, balance and agility. Well done superstars 
On Friday, reception visited Bede Burn for a collaboration day linked to our current topic Marvellous Machines. On the morning we enjoyed planning time with our new friends. On the afternoon, Jade from Hitachi came to visit us, she told us all Hitachi’s marvellous machines and helped us to construct our own digger. What a great day! 
Reception had a lovely morning at the library! We listened to stories, chose our own and discussed with our friends which were our favourites!
Reception had so much fun creating a moving puppet using card , split pins and control sticks today.
Yesterday, reception celebrated Fibonacci, an Italian mathematician whose focus was patterns. Children have explored the outdoors for patterns in nature and created their own spiral pattern in the style of Fibonacci. Children have also copied and continued repeated patterns and completed a range of pattern activities within their independent learning. Well done superstars
Reception have been continuing with their learning of the nativity story. We tasted sweet mince pies and discussed the design on the pies. The children identified the importance of the star and enjoyed the sweet treat. 
On Friday, reception celebrated Children in Need. This years theme is challenge yourself. Reception were set different challenges across the day linked to maths, throwing and building. We also has lots of Pudsey activities in our independent learning too. Well done reception
