Year 4 led their first worship this morning, carrying on with our theme of ‘Agents of Change’. This week, we have been looking at the story of a David and Goliath, and how David was an agent of change. Well done Year 4 for all your hard work, we are super proud of how well you delivered your message!

As part of our Science topic, Year 4 have been looking at teeth. We investigated our own teeth with mirrors, counting them and working our how many molars, incisors and canine teeth we had. We then carried out an experiment, eating both bread and apples to see which teeth we used!

Well it appears that we have a class of weavers in Year 4! As part of our DT topic, Warp and Weft, we have spent the afternoon exploring different materials to weave with, thinking about their properties. Year 4 are super keen to get started on their weaving creations!

As part of our ‘Agents of Change’ theme, we have been looking at ‘Agent Ruth’. For our worship challenge this week, Mr Richardson challenged Year 4 to make friendship bracelets to show how we can pledge loyalty to each other. We thought as a class what it means to loyal, and the importance of friendship 

Yesterday in RE, Year 4 have been looking at the 5 K’s as part of their Sikhism topic. We discussed what we thought they were first, and then looked at the symbolism behind each one, and the significance to the Sikh faith.

Wowza! What a fantastic 1st trip year 3 have had visiting The Hancock Museum for the launch of our History learning ‘Through the Ages’ we’ve had an amazing time! Well done superstars⭐️🪨🦴

Year 3 are loving their science investigations in their topic about plants. This weeks’ investigation has been to compare leaves positioned in the shade with those in the sun. The children selected and measured their leaves. The next job is to collect our data and organise it in a bar chart before we interpret it.

Year 3 set up a super celery investigation today, building on their recent learning about the function of transport tissue in vascular plants.
We hope to see some big changes to our celery….watch this space 

Year 3 had a wonderful day at the beach yesterday. The smiles on their faces say it all. We wish everyday could be a beach day
