As part of our DT topic, Fresh Food Good Food, Year 4 have been looking at healthy snacks. This afternoon we used our cooking skills to create some healthy snacks of own! We made hummus with veggie sticks, fruit skewers and fruity popcorn (which was a firm favourite!)
Today in maths, some of our children became mini teachers! (Once they had completed their own work and challenges). We were so proud of how mature and helpful the children in year 4 are towards one another and were outstanding supports within the lesson!
️ Well done superstars!

Year 4 teamed up with Year 2 for Christmas STEM day, on Friday. We thought about making our own Christmas decorations by creating our own template then decorating them with wool and string ⛄️❄️🎅🏻
So Year 4’s Geography walk was rained off this afternoon…so instead we made our Christmas cards! We used finger painting around our chosen template to create our designs, whilst singing along to all our favourite Christmas music! A lovely festive afternoon
Year 4 ventured into the big pool this week in our swimming lesson to tackle swimming 25m front crawl and back crawl. Some of us even managed to do 50m! We worked so hard, so next week, for our last swimming session of the year, we are being rewarded with free time in the pool!
SHE’S BACK!!!!!! Turns out Year 4 did such an amazing job writing their persuasive arguments that our naughty elf returned Miss Marley from the North Pole! Phew!
To end a lovely festive start to December, on Friday we celebrated with some snow fun on the yard! Year 4 loved having a whole class snowball fight!
Yesterday, we visited St Oswald’s Church to celebrate the start of advent with our Christingle service. Mr Richardson and our amazing Christian Council led a wonderful service, with Carmen and Nathan representing Year 4 to carry the Christingle oranges through the church. Well done Year 4 on your amazing singing!
