Year 4 are looking at Baptism this week as part of RE. We looked at how and why Christians use water, and what it symbols. We wrote words related to water, and picked those that we thought had the most meaning, and then used the water to wash the less meaningful words away.

Yesterday, year 4 started their new art topic for this half term. We are looking at landscapes, so today, we designed our own frame, and had an explore around the school grounds to take our own landscape picture using our frames. Great work year 4!

Year 4 were very lucky to have Deborah from Nexus come to talk to us about the exciting new metro trains coming into operation shortly. She talked us through all the new features of the trains, and also went through some very important information to help keep us safe around trains and the tracks.

Today Year 4 had their first Spanish lesson of the year! We recapped on some of our learning from Year 3, and then spent the lesson looking at adjectives to describe the face. Year 4 are super excited for their next Spanish lesson already!

Wow! What a fantastic Christmassy afternoon Year 4 had at our Winter Wonderland! ️ We thoroughly enjoyed making Santa hats, drinking hot chocolate whilst having a story, Christmas crafts, finding keys, seeing Santa and to top it all off…a snowball fight!! 

Year 4 loved getting animated and creative, yesterday! We drew some Christmas characters and made them come to life using an animation website. These were brilliant and certainly made us giggle ☺️🎄🎅🏻

What a Christmas party Year 4 had, this week! We danced, played games and showed Miss Marley how to do the Macarena!

On Friday, Year 4 invited their Bede Burn pen pals over for a morning aboard the a Polar Express! We all got given our golden ticket to board, then enjoyed hot chocolates with marshmallows whilst watching the film in our cosy pj’s. Both classes loved getting together for a super festive morning!
