On Thursday 17th October in Change4Life club, the children took part in the Timone and Pumba time trial, where the children had to run on all fours as fast as they could whilst being timed. The children set a score, then tried to beat their personal best. We are so impressed that all of the children were able to beat their own score and everyone received an Ozzie star!

Wow!! I am so so proud of the children who took part in the Pretty Muddy Kids Cancer Run this morning at Exhibition Park, Town Moor, Newcastle. The support for one another was unbelievable. Erin and Kate even took to the stage to tell people about how at St Oswald’s we are courageous advocates and why the run was so important to us as a school. The race was great fun. I didn’t realise I actually needed to run but the atmosphere and friendship offered from everyone who came from St Oswald’s was unbelievable. A MASSIVE thank you to Mrs Conway who organised the school taking part and also we hope this helps her nephew Frank to get his treatment which he needs for his own cancer battle.

It was a busy shift this afternoon for the Cancer Courageous Advocacy Group. After washing 12 cars in the staff car park, £50 was raised for the Bradley Lowery Foundation. It was serious work but there was still time for some fun, thanks to Mr Scrafton!
Mrs Smith really enjoyed running Reception and KS1 art club on Tuesday 2nd July. The children made either space or flower pictures using congruent circles within their design. The children developed their cutting skills especially cutting circles which is a tricky job. They were very proud of their finished pieces and evaluated these with their peers.
Wow – what an amazingly marvellous musical melody-filled day St Oswald’s have had in support of World Music day. All the children have been exploring a world of wonderful sound, from sounds from journeys and spring in Reception and KS1 to the sounds of sport, musicals and ballads in KS2. A supersonic day indeed!
