Today has been the day of all shows and it was ended fantastically with our drama club’s re-enactment of a modern Aesop’s Fables! And what a drama show it was! The children were outstanding and we smiled and laughed from start to finish! A HUGE well done to everyone involved – we loved it!
This time last week, we were all thoroughly enjoying our whole school beach trip! Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us, we loved every minute and hope to make this an annual event on our school calendar! Here’s a few more snaps of the day! 🤩⛱🏖
A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended our Pride Picnic last week – we had a gorgeous afternoon with you all!
What a splash our amazing Chicken & Duck/Forest Clubbers made last night for our epic water fight! We had a fantastic time, as always this lovely lot threw themselves right into the spirit of things! Bring on s’mores night next week for our final club night of the summer term
More photos from our beach trip – a fabulous day had by all!
Thank you to everyone that came along for Junior Parkrun this morning at North Marine Park in South Shields.

‘Daniel and Lucy would like to share The Longstaff’s very busy but fun weekend! Daniel had an early birthday surprise going to watch WWE Live at the arena with mom. It was amazing and he was over the moon watching some of his favourite wrestlers live in action! Saturday was the South Tyneside Parade which Lucy took part in with her dance school alongside Anna and Amber. It was so much fun and all the girls danced brilliantly. We had Daniels end of season football presentation for the Hebburn Involve Under 11 Sparks, moving into Under 12s next season. Daniel and Marvellous got participation trophies for all their hard work and Marvellous also got Players Player voted for by their team mates. We finished off on Sunday with Lucy’s Cheerdance competition in Newton Aycliffe with Anna. They both danced fantastically but the competition was very good and tough! They both got recalls in their solos and 2nd place with their squad. We are so proud of all of them!’
Amber has had a busy weekend. We took part in the South Tyneside Parade on Saturday with Poppleton Dance and then she took part in her first park run with St Oswalds. So proud at how well she ran!
On Thursday, St. Oswald’s took part in our very first ‘St. Oz Music Festival’. We sang a range of songs from lots of different genres and had a big party. The children were outstanding during their performances and had worked so hard to rehearse them. We’d love to say a big thank you to all of our parents and careers who got on board with the glitter, festival outfits and brought camping chairs! Until next year…
