Wow what a day year 1 had at The Discovery Museum, we walked and took the metro as part of active schools challenge. In the morning we took part in a very exciting workshop with Amy, she taught us all about The Stephenson Brothers and the locomotive competition. We role played how a locomotive works and felt cotton and coal. We were then challenged to work in teams to build our own locomotive, we were given an item list, money and materials and were set to build. Next was the most exciting part, we held our own competition and tested which locomotive was the best! After lunch we explored the museum and had lots of fun! We had such a great day, we were all very tired by the end even our teachers! Well done year 1

Yesterday, our year 3 and 4 gymnastics teams attended The Urban Factory to compete against other schools. Our year 3s finished 5th and our year 4s finished 3rd – you can probably see how much fun they had!
Yesterday, Year 5 completed the ‘make’ section of their food and nutrition week. Their design brief stated that they must make a “healthy and sustainable meal”. A green smoothie, spring green frittata and meringue with fruit was made and consumed by all – Year 5 don’t do things by halves! The Year 5 staff are super impressed with the children’s!
