Year 4 – Bikeability! – 10.05.2022

On Friday, Year 4 took part in Bikeability. First, we all listened to a safety talk and learned about how to stay safe on a bike. Then, once our helmets were fitted, we went outside and practiced some cycling skills. In the afternoon, we played some games where we had to leave and enter a circle to simulate traffic and we tried lifting our hands off the handlebars to high-five our classmates! Year 4 even had some diligent note takers who learned all about bike safety and bike handling from the sidelines, writing it all down so that we all remember the important things we have learned today! Well done year four! 🚲

Whole School News – Litter picking on route to school! – 10.05.2022

We have certainly had some amazingly inventive travel challenges today and our Rocco is no exception! This is what his mam had to say about his travel to school today:
 
‘Today on the way to school, Rocco and Mam did a litter pick as part of the #STactivetravelchallenge campaign.
 
We have signed up to the Surfers Against Sewage Million Mile May clean (beaches, streets etc) – so we’ve been doing it to and from school when we can to see how many miles of tidying we can log.
 
We were really sad to see how many plastic bottles and packets were left along the streets. But glad we managed to pick them up so we can take them home to recycle.
