Year 4 were very enthusiastic about baking their Ancient Greek bread today. After planning to our budget and selecting sustainable ingredients, Year 4 were ready to apply their kitchen skills to prepare and bake bread, using measuring, mixing and kneading. We even conducted a science experiment whilst we cooked, making bread with honey or sugar and leaving it to prove/ no prove. We are excited to sample the results of each condition in our taste test tomorrow!
On Wednesday morning Year 3 were making comparative observations during transition. We placed flowers into water mixed with food colouring to test the speed of water transportation. The flowers were all in different conditions. We began our observations and we are looking forward to seeing the end result.
Our KS2 girls were on fire in football! We’ve been focusing on dribbling, using both feet, reaction and understanding the ins and outs of the game more! The girls worked their socks off in the glorious sun and have been improving each week, whilst most importantly having fun. The future is bright for our superstars

Year 2 made a fantastic start to their Food and Nutrition Week. They started by tasting different flapjacks and dried fruit then deciding which flavours they liked the most. They started to design their own recipe for a flapjack. They are looking forward to making their flapjacks on Thursday.
On Monday Year 5’s cricket tournament was unfortunately cancelled due to the rain. But we still managed to make the most of our day, and Mr Barron organised lots of fun cricket games that we could do inside. The whole class were so resilient and upbeat despite the disappointment of their trip being cancelled, well done Year 5!
Year 5 have had a great day celebrating our Miles Away Tuesday. Our country was Sweden. We have looked at geographical features of Sweden, we have looked at the ABBA pop song ‘Thank you for the music’ and learnt about a famous Swedish ambassador Greta Thunberg. We even tried some Swedish biscuits and Swedish meatballs!
Meryl and Joseph cycled to school today. They were so excited!
Our Ozzie Owls did World Smile Day yesterday. The children decorated emoji’s and they all turned out beautifully! The children smiled all the way through decorating them!

The weather didn’t stop our KS2 multi-sport club having fun – we tried our hands at indoor orienteering, creating funny faces! We can’t wait to take these skills outdoors!
