Last week at Chicken and Duck/Forest Club, we were super lucky to have our lovely Oliver’s mam Sam join us. She has very kindly donated some fire hose from the fire station she works at for us to use for some projects. We have been working hard making some key rings for our upcoming summer fair, and Sam came in to help us with our designs. Thanks so much Sam, we all loved getting crafty and can’t wait to showcase our makes at the fair!
Y3 have had a busy couple days bringing their DT unit to a close. Titled ‘Making it Move’, they were thrilled when their automaton toys did just that!
On Friday, Year One were using their research skills to learn lots of interesting facts about earthworms. We have learned about their body parts, what they eat, and whether they can tell the difference between light and darkness. We have had so much fun! 🪱
We’ve been playing handball this week in KS1 multi sports, practicing our passing and moving, shooting and defending skills!

Our Ozzie Owls enjoyed a gorgeous night of outdoors picnics, ice lollies, sunshine and games, last night – we LOVED it! 😎🍊
Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed our Summer Prayer Space activities in the nature garden. We reflected on our friendships, what we are grateful for and people who are in need e.g. homeless. We also took part in some forest listening which allowed us to sit quietly and connect with nature. Well done year 1

As part of Worship, Year 4 have been focusing on friendship. We have been looking at how to show respect to our friends and peers, and have been working alongside some of Year 6 children to help us with this.
Year 2 had a lovely morning taking part in this terms Prayer Space sessions in the nature garden. They completed the five different stations with lots of respect and took time to reflect and think about many issues such as friendship, thankfulness and people less fortunate than themselves. Great discussions were had by all and Mrs Wood and Mrs Wells were very impressed with their maturity and the empathy they showed for others.

Year 3 enjoyed some gardening in the sunny nature garden this morning. As part of their Science unit about plant nutrition, they planted radish seeds which they will monitor over the next 6 weeks.
