Amber is still continuing to complete her 30 days wild challenge. After school tonight we did a nature colour trail. Amber collected lots of different colours on a lovely walk in the sunshine and then made a rainbow with them at home.

Year 3 had a very exciting transition morning….we got to meet our new Year 4 teacher, Mr Appleby! We spent a brilliant morning getting to know each other and we are super excited for September!
The children in Year 3 have been working hard during their recent writing sequence. They have planned, drafted and written some fantastic recounts of their time in Year 4 from their transition mornings.

For World Music Day, Year 4 listened to a variety of songs from around the globe. There was great enjoyment and enthusiasm in the class as we discussed where we thought the pieces came from, as well as identifying their stylistic features too!
Today, in Year 5 we listened to a variety of world music! We listened to: Sea Shanties, Calypso, Bhangra, Indian Classical Music and South African Choral Music. We discussed how music is different around the world according to cultures and trends and thought about how Western music can be influenced by Eastern music etc. Year 5 noted how popular songs such as ‘Havanna’ is influenced by Flamenco music and how ‘Blinded By Your Grace’ is influenced by South African Choral Music.
This afternoon year 1 have been continuing our learning on Famous Inventors. We have designed our own aeroplanes, deciding on where we want our aeroplane to travel, how many passengers it will carry, is it for fun or to help others. We then compared our designs to Leonardo Da Vinci’s design. We then followed instructions to make our own paper aeroplane. We then took them outside and tested them! Super job year 1 ✈️⭐
Reception wrote some thank you letters in worship this morning to Debbie from Animal Aid! Take a look at our amazing writing

This morning for our worship year 1 have researched Marie Curie and created our own daffodils pictures. We then had to write 1 fact we had learnt from our research! We are looking forward to learning more in worship on Wednesday! 🌼
Last week our Ozzie Owls spent their time in club completing cards and pictures for Fathers Day. They completed lots of activities including mindfulness colouring for the special person in their life.
Their work and lovely words to their loved ones were lovely to read. We hope all our children had a lovely day with their families!
Last week’s Lego creations! We have a jail, builders yard, sonic, an aeroplane, a vehicle track, a bridge, a cog and many more! Well done superstars!
