On Saturday Lucy took part in the South Tyneside Parade with her dance school, they were absolutely amazing! She danced with her friends Amber and Anna, the mom’s got involved too! It was an amazing day. Sunday was Dan’s football presentation with his team the Hebburn Involve U10s Sparks. He collected his trophy with his friend Marvellous and he saw classmate Ellie G too. We are super proud!
What an email to receive from our lovely parent Stacey, this weekend:
‘Happy Saturday, can I just pass these photos on with a little explanation as last night the millennium bridge was lit blue for the girls grandad and his charity it was amazing we’d love to share.
Here’s a little story about last night!! My father in law has been through so much battling his asbestos cancer mesothelioma. And yet still manages to smile and complete every single great north run earning the name of ‘great north Ron’ apart from the support of Denise and his family he made a new family in a charity run support group we’ve all met some wonderful people in this group and Ronnie is their miracle and ours! Last night the millennium bridge was blue for mesothelioma it was an amazing sight!! There was smiles and tears all night. Sometimes I feel we can become ignorant to things that aren’t smacking us in the face and last night we got that smack again!! I’ll be doing a charity even again soon once I have a think on what to do! WE NEED TO RAISE AWARENESS! For this wonderful charity as this disease is becoming bigger!! Very proud last night ❤️❤️‘
Anna was in the South Tyneside Parade this weekend with Lucy and the rest of her dance school. The girls danced their hearts out and it was an amazing show! It’s the first time they’ve been able to take park since they were in Reception due to covid. Very proud. 💙🧡
Today in Year 4, we had a visitor come into class and tell us all about Sikhism. The children asked him lots of questions and were really eager to take part. We all had a go at some meditation and traditional singing and practiced our sustained listening skills whilst listening to music from some interesting instruments. Thank you for a fantastic visit, Year 4 have learned a lot!
Wow what a fantastic day some of us had at a Cheerleading Festival! We worked so hard all day and demonstrated so many fantastic skills. Mr Barron and Miss Marley are so proud of what we produced and how well we represented our school. HUGE well done! Take a look at some our photos and videos

Our animal rights courageous advocacy group really thought about animals rights this morning as they got sorting in our chicken and duck coop.
The group fed and watered the animals, also raking the enclosure, cleaning, brushing, egg collecting and stamping! We realise it’s not always glamourous caring for animals, but they have rights – just as we do!

Here are some photos from year 1s sports day! What an amazing morning
we had!

Reception completed their worship challenge this morning set by the Courageous Advocacy group looking at the elderly and dementia. We coloured Forget Me Nots and learned about it representing dementia!
