What an email to receive from our lovely parent Stacey, this weekend:

‘Happy Saturday, can I just pass these photos on with a little explanation as last night the millennium bridge was lit blue for the girls grandad and his charity it was amazing we’d love to share.

Here’s a little story about last night!! My father in law has been through so much battling his asbestos cancer mesothelioma. And yet still manages to smile and complete every single great north run earning the name of ‘great north Ron’ apart from the support of Denise and his family he made a new family in a charity run support group we’ve all met some wonderful people in this group and Ronnie is their miracle and ours! Last night the millennium bridge was blue for mesothelioma it was an amazing sight!! There was smiles and tears all night. Sometimes I feel we can become ignorant to things that aren’t smacking us in the face and last night we got that smack again!! I’ll be doing a charity even again soon once I have a think on what to do! WE NEED TO RAISE AWARENESS! For this wonderful charity as this disease is becoming bigger!! Very proud last night ❤️❤️
