Miss Pape was sent these lovely photos and email from Leon in year 4, this morning, he wrote along side:
Morning Miss Pape, it’s Leon from year 4. My mam let me message you.
Have you seen the sky on a morning? It’s amazing!!!!! It was pink yesterday and yellow today.
I took a photo yesterday, I will send you it. Oh and the tree outside of my house, ahh it’s sad that the leaves have to fall off, it’s so pretty.
Byeeeee Leon H 🌬🍁🌅
We LOVE some positivity to start our day! Thank you, Leon!
Reception have been busy this week finishing their topic of Superheroes! We have been doing lots of work about how we are special and unique. We ended our topic by making medals to celebrate all gifts, talents and abilities! We then had a super celebration wearing our medals and danced to some music!

On Tuesday 10th November Year 2 were working with Mr Hayton in the Nature Garden. We created a bug hotel for worms, hedgehogs, door mice and ants! This linked to our science learning of habitats. We had a fantastic afternoon outdoors!
During worship Year One have discussed what is Remembrance Day . We created poppies as we knew that was the flower that grew in the field after the war. Some of us used coloured pencils and red cellophane to create our poppies.
Our budding photographer Ivy took these beautiful photos this weekend of the Remembrance display in Hebburn Cemetery. Thank you so much for these photos, Ivy!
Teamwork and resilience were the order of the day on Thursday when Y3 were blessed with perfect conditions for forest school. Mr Hayton planned a great session, building on skills from our previous sessions to build a raft from sticks in the nature garden. We even took our computing learning outdoors and created our school computer network in human form. Back in the classroom for English and we used the app Vocab Lab to unleash our ninja powers on some boring sentences.
On Friday 6th November year 2 practiced logging on to Oxford Reading Owls. During guided reading we read with our partner. We enjoyed reading about the Gingerbread Man, Granny and the scarf! We are excited about reading at home!
